Best Buy is once again restocking Nvidia RTX 3000 graphics cards at stores across the US.
The in-store sales for the GPUs will commence on Friday morning, Oct. 1, at 7:30 a.m. local time at dozens of Best Buy locations. Find participating stores by visiting the retailer’s web page.
Best Buy is expected to have Nvidia’s Founders Edition RTX cards on hand. But like before, the retailer will be distributing the graphics cards on a first come, first served basis. They will also be limited in quantity, so you may need to line up early to secure a chance at snagging a GPU.
“Blue Shirts at participating stores will start handing out tickets at 7:30 am local time that morning. We’ll hand out one ticket per purchasing customer in line. If you get a ticket, you will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase a graphics card inside the store beginning at 8 am local time,” the retailer said.
Some consumers are already lining up and placing chairs outside Best Buy locations.
Twitter account GPU Restock Monitor, which tracks Best Buy in-store sales, says RTX 3000 units will be low at the participating locations: “Less than 15 (RTX) 3080s in most places.”
If you decide to participate, we recommend bringing a foldable chair, blankets, and waiting in line as soon as you can. The past in-store sales have attracted massive lines of over 200 people, including this reporter, who braved the cold weather and camped out overnight to obtain an Nvidia graphics card.
