With the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 ($729.17 at Amazon) , Epic Games also launched the beta version of Fortnite for Android, and threw in a few incentives for those who pre-ordered the smartphone. Among the gifts to choose from was an exclusive Fortnite skin that made your character look like a sparkly galaxy.

Though that initial offer has expired, it seems Epic Games is in a giving mood of late. There is still a way to get your hands on this exclusive skin; you just have to be willing to spend some cash.

There is no way around this. If you want the exclusive skin, you need the Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4. And you can’t use your friend’s phone for this. Epic Games has limited the skin to one per device.

Open Galaxy Apps

Obviously, the next step is to download Fortnite. Instead of going to the Google Play store where you normally download apps, you will have to use Galaxy Apps instead. You can find this app in your Samsung folder among all the apps not already on your home screen. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get there. (

If you don’t have the Note 9 or S4, here’s how to download Fortnite on Android.)

Download Fortnite to Your Device

Once you enter Galaxy Apps, you should see a banner for Fortnite. Tap it, then tap Install & Open to get the game on your device.

Log in and Play

Once the game is done downloading, you must log into your Epic Games account. Then all you need to do is play three games of Fortnite on the device. This means you play the complete round and select Return to Lobby when the game is finished. If you leave early, the game won’t be counted. If you need some in-game pointers, we have you covered.

Get the Galaxy Skin

Now just wait a day or two, and you’ll receive a gift box in the game with the Fortnite Galaxy skin inside. It’s hard to say how long this offer will last, but Samsung has indicated that you will have until the end of 2018 to redeem your prize.
